Obradovic Building Ambitious Panathinaikos: Trey Lyles, Bonga and Bogdanovic on the Radar

Panathinaikos is preparing an ambitious summer following Zeljko Obradovic's return to the bench. The Serbian head coach, officially presented as the new coach of the Athens-based club, arrives with a three-year contract and the intention to rebuild a roster capable of competing for everything in the EuroLeague.

According to Mozzart Sport, Obradovic has already put several names on the table to strengthen the new green project. Among them is Trey Lyles, a Real Madrid player this season whose contract is expiring. The power forward maintains the NBA option as a priority, but Panathinaikos emerges as a very strong alternative within the European market.

Lyles' possible arrival would represent an important coup for the Greek club, which is looking to strengthen the power forward position and increase the depth of a roster where the continuity of Juancho Hernangómez is practically guaranteed.

Obradovic's wish list doesn't end there. The head coach also has Isaac Bonga among his targets, a player he already coached at Partizan, and Bogdan Bogdanovic, one of the biggest names in Serbian basketball. The shooting guard, currently in the NBA, is evaluating continuing in the United States, although his return to Europe would be one of the summer's biggest moves.

Panathinaikos wants to move aggressively in the market and surround Obradovic with first-tier pieces. His return to the OAKA comes not only loaded with history, but also with an ambitious plan to return the club to the top of the continental stage.
