Liga U now has an official schedule for its second season. The competition, jointly organized by the FEB and ACB with the support of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), now knows the dates for all of its phases.

The First Phase will begin on Friday, September 25 and will run until December 19. After this, the play-in will be held on December 23, which will pit the 5th and 6th place teams from Group A against the 3rd and 2nd place teams from Group B. The winners will play the Second Phase in Group A; the losers in Group B.

The Second Phase will begin on January 4 and will run until April 17, 2027.

The conclusion will come with the Final Six, which will be held from May 13-16, 2027. The four top-seeded teams from the Second Phase of Group A will advance, along with the winners of the matchups between the first-place team from Group B and the sixth-place team from Group A, and between the fifth-place team from Group A and the second-place team from Group B.

The 14 participating teams are divided into two groups. Learn more about how Liga U works here (https://acb.com/es/liga/noticias/liga-u-2026-27-definidos-equipos-participantes-y-grupos-145644)

Burgos Grupo Santiago and Barça Atlètic to kick off the season
The first matchday will begin on Friday, September 25 at 5:00 p.m. with the matchup between Burgos Grupo Santiago and Barça Atlètic, two teams that already know what it's like to play in a Liga U Final Six and will look to repeat that experience this season.

At 7:00 p.m., it will be the defending champion's turn. Real Madrid will face Valencia Basket, which dominated Group B in the Second Phase last season with a perfect record of 12 wins and no losses.

At 8:30 p.m., Casademont Zaragoza will host Fundación CB Canarias. The Aragonese team dominated the head-to-head matchups last season, with three wins in the four games played between the two, and will look to extend that streak.

In Group B, UCAM Murcia Juver and Bilbao Basket will open the competition at 8:30 p.m. at the CAR Región de Murcia. The Murcia team will look to establish itself in its new home against Bilbao Basket, which continues to bet on local talent.

Also at 8:30 p.m., Unicaja Alhaurín de la Torre will host Obradoiro C.A.B. at the Polideportivo Municipal Blas Infante. It will be the debut of the Galician team in Liga U, which will look to add the first win in its history in the competition.

The first matchday will close on Saturday, September 26 at 12:00 p.m. with the derby between Kids&Us Manresa and Joventut Badalona, the first derby of the season.

Barça Atlètic and Real Madrid, last year's final

Meanwhile, the Madrid team will be at home in Matchday 13, on Friday, December 11 at 5:00 p.m.; Barça beat Real Madrid in both away games last season.
