LOS ANGELES. The Oklahoma City Thunder continues its playoff rampage, decisively defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 108-131 and taking a commanding 3-0 series lead in the Western Conference semifinals. Ajay Mitchell was the night's biggest surprise with career-best playoff numbers: 24 points and 10 assists, leading another dominant team performance by the defending champion.

The Oklahoma City squad maintains a perfect 7-0 record in this postseason and has now won seven consecutive games this season against the Lakers. Additionally, all three series victories have come by a combined margin of 59 points, reflecting the Thunder's overwhelming superiority so far.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 23 points and nine assists, while Chet Holmgren recorded 18 points and nine rebounds for a Thunder team that once again broke the game open after halftime, exactly as they did in the previous two contests.

The Los Angeles Lakers remained competitive for much of the first half despite significant absences. Luka Dončić remains unable to play due to a muscle injury suffered on April 2 and has now missed 14 consecutive games. Moreover, the Slovenian's return doesn't appear imminent.

Still, JJ Redick's team found offensive answers during the first two quarters. Rui Hachimura led the Lakers' attack with 16 points before halftime and finished with 21. LeBron James contributed 19 points, eight assists, and six rebounds, while Austin Reaves added 17 points and nine assists.

The problem resurfaced after the halftime break. Just like in Game 2, Oklahoma City Thunder elevated its competitive intensity and completely dismantled the Lakers during the third quarter.

Although Shai Gilgeous-Alexander started the game off-target, missing nine of his first eleven shots, the rest of the team quickly found the basket. Ajay Mitchell again confirmed his growth in these NBA playoffs, extending his streak to six consecutive games scoring at least 14 points.

The third quarter definitively changed the game. Oklahoma City posted a devastating 33-20 run after halftime, quickly erased their halftime deficit, and built a 13-point lead thanks to their exceptional ball movement and offensive efficiency.

The Los Angeles Lakers never found defensive solutions to stop the Thunder's multiple offensive variations. The Lakers tried different tactical adjustments and defensive rotations, but Oklahoma City punished every mistake with surgical precision.

The champion's physical and collective superiority became evident once again in the final stretch. The Thunder allowed no serious Lakers comeback and comfortably managed their lead throughout the entire fourth quarter.

Oklahoma City Thunder continues to survive without Jalen Williams, absent for the fifth consecutive game due to a muscle injury. Still, the team's roster depth and exceptional competitive form are allowing them to maintain a nearly unstoppable level of play.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers continue to accumulate problems. The Lakers have lost five of their last six games since the middle of their series against the Houston Rockets and now face elimination.

Game 4 will be played again in Los Angeles, where the Thunder will look to complete the sweep and return to a new Conference Finals, while the Lakers will attempt to avoid an early end to their season in front of their home crowd.
