Twenty-one lead changes, mostly in the second half, and a finish decided in the final four seconds. Olympiacos prevailed 91-93 in Kaunas for their second victory of the season, with Shaquille O'Neal watching from the stands at Zalgirio Arena.
A game that never got away
Neither team led by more than seven points at any point in the game. The first quarter ended 24-21 for the hosts, halftime came at 44-44, and the third period closed at 63-64.
Zalgiris found their rhythm from three-point range—twelve made compared to five for the Greeks—while Olympiacos lived at the free-throw line, shooting 28 free throws compared to just 6 for the Lithuanians.

The final four seconds
The closing stretch was thrilling. Two free throws from Jean Montero put Olympiacos up four with fifteen seconds remaining, but Sterling Brown answered with a three-pointer to make it 91-92 with 3.8 seconds left.
Zalgiris had to foul immediately and Fournier went to the line. He made the first, missed the second, and Sasha Vezenkov grabbed the offensive rebound over Jonas Valanciunas to seal the game.
Earlier, in the final minute and a half, the Frenchman had already decided it with two three-pointers.
The numbers
Fournier finished with 19 points. Vezenkov posted 18 with an 8-of-10 shooting night from two-point range, plus eight rebounds and the decisive one. Montero added 15 points and seven assists.
For Zalgiris, Sterling Brown scored 20 points, fourteen of them in the fourth quarter, and Azuolas Tubelis added 19. Carsen Edwards, 16.
What it means
Olympiacos strings together two victories after winning in Vitoria and now visits Bologna. Zalgiris, who had won in Belgrade in their opener, suffers their first loss.
History doesn't help the Lithuanians: the Greeks have accumulated ten wins in their last eleven matchups.
