Partizan Snaps Losing Streak Against Struggling Maccabi (88-67)

Joan Peñarroya needed this. After two consecutive EuroLeague losses, his Partizan delivered their most dominant victory of the season against Maccabi Tel Aviv and return to .500. They did it with several key players sidelined: Kevarrius Hayes, Tonye Jekiri, and Derek Willis did not play, while Luca Vildoza only appeared in the first half due to a hand injury.

A dominant opening quarter
Maccabi opened with a three-pointer, but it was a mirage. Partizan responded with three-pointers from Robert Franks, Ethan Thompson, and Alessandro Pajola, and by eight minutes they were already up 16 (23-7). The Israelis, with Bonzie Colson hitting from beyond the arc, cut it to 28-23 by the end of the quarter, but couldn't get any closer.

Thompson takes over in the second
In the second quarter, Thompson appeared. The shooting guard connected on consecutive three-pointers to extend the lead again, and Partizan went into halftime up 15 (50-35), winning the quarter 22-12.

Stevens shuts the door
After the break, Partizan didn't ease up. A three-pointer from Vanja Marinković, following a flagrant foul on Nikola Tanasković, and a block from Lamar Stevens kept the margin above double digits, and the third quarter ended 72-52. In the fourth quarter, Maccabi cut it to 16 (81-65), but a three-pointer from Antonio Reeves, confirmed after review, ended any hopes of a comeback.

Thompson finished with 16 points, while Stevens added 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks without a turnover. For Maccabi, Daniel Theis led the way with 11 points, despite arriving as questionable. Kattash's team now prepares for their debut in Limassol, where they will face Hapoel in Matchday 11.
