The head coach ends his second stint with the orange team after exercising the exit clause in his contract
After paying the exit clause included in his contract that allowed him to unilaterally terminate his relationship with Valencia Basket, Pedro Martínez is now free from the Club and will cease to serve as head coach of the men's first team. On March 25, 2026, the Catalan coach had extended his contract with Valencia Basket through the end of the 2027-28 season.
The Club wishes to thank Pedro for the professionalism, dedication, and work carried out during this second stint occupying the head coaching position of the orange team.
After a first stint between 2015 and 2017 in which the orange team won the Liga Endesa in 2017, Pedro Martínez returned in the summer of 2024 for a second run as our head coach that lasted two seasons once again. He departs as the first coach to win multiple titles and the one who has won the most with our professional men's team by adding to that first Liga two more trophies: the 2025 Supercopa Endesa and the 2025-26 Liga Endesa.
Pedro Martínez leaves Valencia Basket as the coach with the most games directed (282) and the most wins (207), as well as being the one who has directed the most Liga Endesa games (168) and European competition games (105).
