Real Madrid found the answer to a poor start through three-point shooting. Pedro Martínez's team trailed Maccabi Tel Aviv by 15 points at the Aleksandar Nikolić Hall in Belgrade, where the Israelis play their home games, but finished with a convincing victory (99-113) by making 21 three-pointers in 40 attempts—the highest total in club history in a EuroLeague game.
From -15 to Leading at Halftime
Maccabi started strong, coming off a win at the Roig Arena and taking the court with high energy. The Israelis led 44-29 in the second quarter, with Jimmy Clarke and Bonzie Colson leading the way. That's when the game changed. Madrid strung together three-pointers, put together a 13-4 run to get close (48-42), and kept pressing until heading into halftime ahead (51-52). In just five minutes, they had erased a 15-point deficit.

Abalde Shuts the Door
The third quarter confirmed the shift in momentum. With Walter Tavares dominating both ends of the floor, Madrid won the period 22-29 and entered the fourth quarter with an eight-point lead (73-81). Maccabi made one last push and got within six (85-91) with about six minutes remaining, but Madrid responded with a 0-5 run and two three-pointers from Alberto Abalde that pushed the lead to 14 points.
Campazzo finished as the leading scorer with 21 points. Andrés Feliz, who had hit 8 three-pointers against ASVEL last week, added 18, and Abalde and Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot each scored 15. Tavares, with 11 points and 7 rebounds, was decisive on defense. For Maccabi, Clarke scored 20 points, Colson 19, and Yam Madar 14.
