Santi Yusta Heading to Anadolu Efes After Buyout Clause Paid

Anadolu Efes has the signing of Santi Yusta on track. According to Javier Maestro, the Turkish club will pay the buyout clause of the Madrid-born small forward, valued at around €400,000, to take him from Casademont Zaragoza and place him under Pablo Laso's orders.

The operation will represent a significant financial gain for the Aragonese club, which will also free up a salary slot close to €300,000 net. Yusta, 29, will thus make the jump to the EuroLeague after several seasons established as one of the most reliable perimeter players in the Liga Endesa.

The player came close to signing with Unicaja, but that deal stalled. Now, Efes has accelerated to close his signing and strengthen a roster looking to regain prominence in Europe.

In Zaragoza, Yusta's departure will force the club to move in the market. One of the names that has emerged is Joan Sastre, who has a contract with La Laguna Tenerife, although his continuity does not appear assured following the arrival of Xabi López-Arostegui.
