Sir'Jabari Rice will continue his career in Italy. The American shooting guard, who recently played for MoraBanc Andorra, has signed with Umana Reyer Venezia for the upcoming season, strengthening the Italian club's perimeter.
Rice, 27 years old and 1.93 meters tall, joined the Liga Endesa last season after starting the campaign at ERA Nymburk, where he played a prominent role in the Czech league. With the Andorran team, he appeared in 14 games, averaging 13.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.
Before his stint in Spain, the shooting guard posted solid numbers in Nymburk, with 14.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.5 steals per game, a performance that earned him recognition in the five best foreign players of the Czech competition according to Eurobasket.
Developed between New Mexico State and Texas, Rice already has an extensive international career despite being in his early years as a professional. He has played in the G League, Jordan, the Dominican Republic and Europe, in addition to competing in the Summer League with the Los Angeles Lakers.
With his arrival, Venezia adds a versatile player with scoring ability, the physicality to play multiple perimeter positions and experience in different competitive contexts.
