Surne Bilbao won, and that was about it. Jaume Ponsarnau's team defeated Slavia Prague 97-86 at Miribilla and maintains a perfect record in the Basketball Champions League following their debut in Laktaši. The game, however, lacked what fans enjoy: both teams made errors, poor decisions were made, and the officiating frustrated the crowd. It was one of those nights where only the result mattered.
The start showed promise. Surne Bilbao opened with a 16-6 run in five minutes, with Nate Darling and Aleix Font punishing in transition. Slavia, with Ondrej Hustak as their leading scorer, closed to 20-17, but the Bilbao team finished the first quarter 27-21. A three-pointer by Font before halftime left it 42-35.

Krampelj, the Most Reliable
Slavia came out of halftime with a 0-5 run that brought them within two points (42-40). Krampelj responded with two three-pointers that restored Surne Bilbao's lead (58-49), and the Slovenian center was his team's most consistent player throughout the night, finishing with 19 points. Hlinason added 13 in the paint. Still, the third quarter ended tied at 26 and the score remained tight: 68-61.
Petrasek Opens the Gap
The largest lead came five minutes from the end, with a three-pointer by Luke Petrasek (78-67). Slavia still had a response, with Margiris Normantas hitting two three-pointers, but Surne Bilbao never suffered again. Manex Ansorregi, very active on defense, closed out the game with a dunk. It was the best summary of a night in which the Bilbao team won through hard work, not brilliance.
