Valencia Basket Monitoring Both Gach Situation Amid ASVEL Budget Concerns

The Valencia club appears among those interested in the American guard, recently signed by ASVEL, whose future could be affected by the budget review announced by the French club.

Valencia Basket continues to study the market to complete its roster for the upcoming season. One of the names on the Valencia club's radar is Both Gach, according to Marc Calduch.

The 27-year-old guard signed a one-year contract with ASVEL in early July after completing a standout campaign with JL Bourg. However, the budget problems recently acknowledged by Tony Parker's club could trigger changes in their sporting plans and have led several teams to closely monitor the situation of their players.

Gach, an international for South Sudan and capable of playing shooting guard and small forward, averaged 13.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists in the EuroCup, with a notable 41.6% three-point shooting percentage. In the French league, he posted 12.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

His scoring ability, attacking the rim and versatility across multiple positions would fit Valencia Basket's perimeter rebuild. For now, this is merely an interest and there is no indication of an agreement, as the player maintains a contract with ASVEL for the 2026/27 season.
