The second coach with the most games in Baskonia's history will begin his fourth stint at the helm of the blue-and-white club.
Kosner Baskonia and Velimir Perasovic have reached an agreement that ties the club and the coach, already experienced on the Baskonia bench, for the next two seasons. The Croatian coach will arrive in Vitoria-Gasteiz tomorrow and will lead the team on Friday against Virtus Bologna.
Velimir Perasovic returns to Vitoria-Gasteiz to take charge of Kosner Baskonia. Perasovic (Split, 1965) will take over the Gasteiz roster through 2028. The Croatian coach, who led UNICS Kazan last season, has extensive experience on the benches of both EuroLeague and Liga Endesa.
With 253 games at the helm of the blue-and-white bench, Velimir is the second coach with the most games in Baskonia's history and will begin his fourth stint at the head of the Vitoria club. Under his leadership, Baskonia has won a Copa del Rey and a Supercopa and led the Vitoria team to its last Final Four in 2016.
With this, Kosner Baskonia brings in a coach with experience and passion for the blue-and-white club. The new Baskonia coach will arrive tomorrow in the Álava capital and on Friday will direct his first game in the EuroLeague matchup between Kosner Baskonia and Virtus Bologna. Ongi etorri, Velimir!
