Will Clyburn Signs with Fenerbahce, Returns to Istanbul

Will Clyburn will continue competing in the EuroLeague with Fenerbahce. The American small forward signs a one-year deal with the current European champions after concluding his stint at FC Barcelona.

Clyburn, 36 years old and 2.01 meters tall, arrives after a solid campaign with the Barcelona squad. In the past EuroLeague season, he averaged 13.8 points and 4.2 rebounds in 33 games, serving as one of Barça's primary offensive weapons.

His signing marks Clyburn's return to Istanbul, a city he knows very well. He previously played there for Darussafaka and later for Anadolu Efes, where he shared a locker room with Shane Larkin, with whom he will reunite now at Fenerbahce.

The new yellow-and-blue player is one of the great forwards of the last decade in Europe. He won the EuroLeague championship with CSKA Moscow in 2019 and was named MVP of the Final Four held in Vitoria-Gasteiz. He was also selected to the All-EuroLeague Team in 2019 and the Second All-EuroLeague Team in 2021.

With 276 EuroLeague games and 3,800 points, Clyburn arrives at Fenerbahce with experience, pedigree, and the ability to produce from the small forward position. It's not a signing for the future, but rather a piece for the present for a team that wants to continue competing for everything.

Fenerbahce thus adds another heavyweight name to a project that had already incorporated talent and now adds a proven, competitive profile accustomed to playing big games.
