Žalgiris needed a comfortable night after two consecutive losses and got exactly that against ASVEL. Tomas Masiulis's team controlled the game from start to finish at Žalgirio Arena, led by as many as 26 points, and sealed a dominant victory (105-85) built on three-point shooting: they made 18, just one shy of the club's EuroLeague record of 19, set in a game against Anadolu Efes in February 2020.
A 29-point first quarter
ASVEL only held on for the opening minutes. After an early three-pointer by Carsen Edwards, the French side tied it at 11 with Patty Mills, but Žalgiris responded with a run that put them up 21-13 and closed the first quarter at 29-20. In the second quarter, three-pointers by Dustin Sleva extended the lead (37-27) and halftime arrived with a 16-point advantage (50-34).

Third quarter seals it
After halftime there was no contest. Edwards, Ąžuolas Tubelis, and three-pointers by Maodo Lo pushed the lead beyond 20 points (70-49), and the third quarter closed at 81-59. In the fourth, the advantage reached 26 (89-63) before reserves from both teams played out the final minutes.
Edwards, who scored the 100th point, finished as the leading scorer with 16 points. Valančiūnas, named player of the game, added 15 points and 8 rebounds on 6-of-11 shooting. For ASVEL, which suffers its fifth loss, Ugo Besson scored 13. Žalgiris improves to 3-4.
