A Matchday Testing Both Unbeaten Leaders

The competition faces a new matchday packed with emotion, with the battle to maintain an unbeaten record as one of the main attractions. Eight games, split between five matches on Saturday and three on Sunday, will mark a weekend in which teams seek to consolidate their strong start to the season, while others attempt to react and climb the standings.

Newly promoted Azulmarino Palma, one of the season's revelations, hosts Hozono Global Jairis at Son Moix, who arrive after crushing Panathlitikos Sykeon in Europe and securing their second victory. The Balearic side, coached by Murcian Alberto Antuña, will look to maintain their unbeaten record, while Alcantarilla's squad, led by an impressive Txell Alarcón and a sharp Hobbs, will attempt to capitalize on their good form to break the Balearic team's winning streak.

At the same time (17:00), the Pabellón Europa hosts the clash between Innova-TSN Leganés and Kutxabank Araski. Javi Fort's team face the match with the objective of recovering their form and rediscovering their best version after stringing together three consecutive defeats, while the squad coached by Made Urieta will seek to open their victory column in this season's start. Additionally, Baxi Ferrol will face Inversus Gernika Bizkaia. The Basque side arrive after securing a victory, while the team coached by Lino López has suffered three consecutive defeats and will look to return to winning ways to end their negative run.

Another team seeking to open their victory column is Celta Femxa Zorka, coached by Cristina Cantero, who host Cadí La Seu with the need to win to escape the lower reaches of the standings. Meanwhile, Pepe Vázquez's squad arrive with a record of two wins and two losses, occupying ninth place, and will look to take the victory to continue climbing positions.

Saturday afternoon's matchday will close in Magariños with an attractive duel between Movistar Estudiantes and Impulso 360 Estepona. César Aneas' team arrive in the capital with confidence following their victory at Pineda against Meins Avenida. The match promises great individual matchups, with Meli Gretter, facing her former team, orchestrating the Málaga side's offense and Jessica Féquière as one of the great references for the 'Women In Black'. The player from the team coached by Isaac Fernández stands out among the most valued in the competition, with an average of 18.5 rating credits per game.

Sunday will feature the three remaining matches of the fifth matchday, two in the morning and one in the afternoon. At 12:00, Pazo dos Deportes will host the clash between Durán Maquinaria Ensino and Valencia Basket. Both teams arrive after suffering a setback in Europe, so they will look to recover their form in the domestic competition. In the league, the Galician side, coached by Suso Garrido, have a record of one win and three losses, while the Valencia squad have three wins and just one loss.

Meanwhile, Meins Avenida will face co-leader Casademont Zaragoza, repeating last year's playoff semifinals, who are signing the best league start in their history. Raquel Romo's team, who suffered their second defeat at Pineda, will look to be strong at home and count on their fans' support to stand up to an Aragonese side going through a historic moment in the competition. The final touch to the fifth matchday will come from Spar Girona and Mirai Euskotren at Fontajau, in a match that will pit two teams with different objectives against each other. The Basque side are having a great start to the season, despite suffering their first defeat last matchday against Azulmarino Palma. Meanwhile, Roberto Íñiguez's squad opened their victory column last week and will look to build on those good feelings to climb positions and move away from the lower reaches of the standings.
