Moncho Fernández's team snapped a four-game losing streak, reached their best-ever Liga Endesa record with 14 wins, and confirmed the growth of a project that had already secured the best regular-season finish in club history.
The Girona side found their primary offensive leaders in Ike Iroegbu Needham and Markel Hugues on a night marked by three-point accuracy and an impressive performance against one of the league's hottest teams.
The game started with a last-minute absence of Ricky Rubio due to a coaching decision and featured a very high offensive pace from beyond the arc. Both teams began exchanging three-pointers in a dynamic and entertaining opening.

The American point guard finished as the leading scorer for the Catalan side with 17 points, while Hugues added 16 in another strong performance. For Asisa Joventut, Jabari Parker stood out with 19 points.
