The game started with Tenerife firing on all cylinders from three-point range. The island team quickly found their rhythm from beyond the arc to take early leads, though Mario Hezonja kept Real Madrid in the game during the opening minutes with his team's first ten points. The arrival of Andrés Feliz and David Kramer allowed the hosts to respond and close the first quarter with a minimal advantage (24-23).
Parity remained throughout much of the second quarter. Aaron Doornekamp punished from the perimeter, while Kevin Yebo began to make an impact in the paint. The game's rhythm shifted with the emergence of Patty Mills, who led a run that gave the visitors control of the scoreboard. Mills delivered a stellar performance with 29 points, supported by Huertas's 23 and Yebo's 22. For Real Madrid, Hezonja led the way with 22 points, while Andrés Feliz contributed 16.
