Río Breogán continues building its roster for the 2026-27 season, with Aleksa Ilic emerging as one of the most advanced targets to strengthen the Lucense squad. The Montenegrin center is very close to becoming a new player for the team that will be coached by Luis Casimiro, pending official confirmation from the club.
Ilic, standing 2.04m tall, would arrive from Studentski Centar Podgorica, also known as SC Derby, where he has completed one of the best seasons of his career. In the 2025-26 season, he appeared in 31 games, averaging 14.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.6 blocks overall, shooting 72.7% from the field, 50% from three-point range and 76.8% from the free throw line.
His performance was particularly solid in the ABA League, with 15.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game, demonstrating his ability to produce near the basket and influence the game through physical activity.
The Balkan player's profile would fit within Breogán's roster-building philosophy: a center with rebounding ability, energy, intimidation and strong percentages in close-range situations.
