ago 05 2026Toronto Raptors add another name to their training camp. According to Michael Scotto, the Canadian franchise has agreed to terms with Andre Jackson Jr., former Milwaukee Bucks player.
The contract does not guarantee him a spot on the final roster. According to Brett Siegel, Jackson will arrive on a training camp deal and will have to earn his place during the preseason.
Jackson, 24 years old and 6'6", was selected 36th overall in the 2023 Draft and spent his first three NBA seasons with Milwaukee. He is not a high-volume scorer, but rather a physical, athletic wing with a defensive profile, capable of contributing without needing the ball.
Last season he appeared in 48 games with the Bucks, with one start, and averaged 2.4 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 8.5 minutes per game. His most significant role came in 2024/25, when he played 67 games, started in 43 and posted 3.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
In total, he has accumulated 172 NBA games, with 52 starts, and career averages of 2.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1 assist.
For Toronto, it is a training camp gamble: defense, energy and physicality to compete for one of the final roster spots. For Jackson, a clear opportunity to remain in the league after losing playing time in Milwaukee.
