Real Madrid is working to secure Andrés Feliz's future with a contract extension. According to reports, the club is negotiating with the Dominican point guard, whose current deal expires at the end of this season. The proposal would extend his contract two additional seasons through 2029 with an improved salary.
The move comes at the best moment of Feliz's tenure since arriving in the capital in the summer of 2024 from Joventut. After two seasons in a secondary role, this season he has gained prominence in Pedro Martínez's rotation: he's averaging 12.7 points and 4 assists in the EuroLeague, and in the ACB he's averaging 9.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists. Two weeks ago he led the victory against ASVEL.

From Joventut to Real Madrid
Feliz joined Real Madrid on a three-year contract after being named the best foreign player in Liga Endesa in 2023-24, when he averaged 15 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists with Badalona. In Madrid he took on a more limited role. Last season he posted 6.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2 assists in 16.7 minutes in the EuroLeague, and 7.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in Liga Endesa.
His defensive energy and ability to attack the rim have made him a reliable piece off the bench.
