LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne has officially announced the signing of Armoni Brooks, a 28-year-old American shooting guard standing 1.94 meters tall, on a two-year deal with the French club. The player arrives from EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, where he established himself as one of EuroLeague's premier shooters.
Brooks lands in France following a high-level season in Italy. In the domestic league, he averaged 16.0 points per game and was a key piece in the Lombard team's success. Additionally, he was named MVP of the Frecciarossa Final Eight, confirming his offensive impact in crucial moments.
His EuroLeague performance was also notable. The wing scored 13.1 points per game and shot 41.6% from three-point range, figures that placed him among the competition's most reliable shooters. His volume from beyond the arc was particularly impressive, becoming one of the few players capable of reaching the 100 three-pointers made mark in a single European season.
Before making the jump to European basketball, Brooks accumulated experience in the United States. He spent time in the G League and appeared in NBA games with the Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors, and Brooklyn Nets, in addition to stints with teams such as the Long Island Nets and Ontario Clippers.
His arrival represents an important reinforcement for an ASVEL side looking to elevate its competitive level in EuroLeague. The French club, which has also brought in pieces like Sylvain Francisco and Nick Weiler-Babb, adds in Brooks a proven scorer with NBA experience and already fully adapted to European basketball.
With his ability to space the floor, generate points from the perimeter, and shoulder offensive responsibility, Armoni Brooks becomes one of the most interesting additions to ASVEL's new project.
