ASVEL Secures Mbaye Ndiaye Through 2029

LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne has secured the continuity of Mbaye Ndiaye, who has renewed for three seasons and will remain with the French club through the end of the 2028/29 season.

The Senegalese power forward just completed his best season in the EuroLeague. In the 2025/26 season, he averaged 7.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.4 blocks in 32 games, establishing himself as one of the team's most solid players.

Ndiaye has grown year after year since arriving at ASVEL in 2023. He initially saw limited playing time, gradually gained more responsibility, and has now become an important piece thanks to his physicality, defense, rebounding, and shot-blocking presence.

Before landing in Villeurbanne, he played for JL Bourg-en-Bresse and Blois, where he took incremental steps before establishing himself in French basketball's elite. His renewal confirms that ASVEL wants to maintain a core of physical, athletic players with upside.

It's not a new signing, but rather an important continuity move for the project. Ndiaye will continue to be one of the key interior players for the French club.
