Barcelona and Valencia Basket Meet at Palau to Break the Tie

The blaugrana look to capitalize on home-court advantage against an orange squad facing the challenge of winning on rival territory

After Valencia Basket leveled the series in the second game, the playoff matchup now travels to Palau Blaugrana, where both teams will face off tonight (20:00) and next Wednesday the 24th (20:00).

Barcelona regained home-court advantage and hosts Valencia Basket at the Palau for the first time in this Playoff Final. Tomáš Satoranský warned that no one should get overconfident, reminding that Valencia Basket has already won this season on difficult courts. "Whether you win by 1 or by 30, you have to think about the next game and how you're going to make adjustments," said the Czech point guard.

Satoranský also wanted to highlight the team's good physical condition: "It's one of the few times this season that we're all healthy, so we have a lot of desire to fight for each other".

Will Clyburn arrived at the third game with the confidence of someone who knows how to win on the road. "We did what we had to do. We had to win one there and now we're at home with our fans," said the small forward. Clyburn urged not to think individually: "We have to count on the rest of the team and keep fighting. It's a long series and nobody is going to be perfect in every game".

From the Valencia side, Josep Puerto arrived at the Palau with his feet on the ground. "These games are decided by details and you have to be very focused on what we want to play and on everything we can control," he assured. The player acknowledged that playing at the Palau won't be easy: "It's going to be a very tough game, especially with the support of their fans, and we're aware of that".

Puerto made clear what Valencia Basket's approach is to try to take the game: "The plan has to be to play at our pace, which is ultimately where we feel comfortable and where we can shine". The player also admitted that home-court advantage conditions the series: "Playing here at the Palau is very difficult. They already have the ball in their house and have the opportunity to close out the series at home".
