Hapoel Tel Aviv confirmed its excellent form with an offensive display against Anadolu Efes. Dimitris Itoudis' team, playing its home games in Botevgrad (Bulgaria), scored 118 points, led from the first quarter and earned its sixth victory in eight games. Efes, without Mike James, PJ Dozier and Isaia Cordinier, had no answer.
Game decided before halftime
Hapoel closed the first quarter up six (27-21) and in the second quarter found ways to punish a Turkish defense that couldn't stop Blakeney. At halftime, the lead was already around 20 points and the game was essentially decided. The third quarter didn't change the script: Hapoel entered the final period with a 31-point advantage (90-59) and the rest was a formality.

Blakeney unstoppable

For Efes, Santi Yusta was once again one of the few bright spots. The Spanish small forward, who had his best game of the season last week against Besiktas, added 15 points. Jordan Loyd was the leading scorer for Efes with 19. Efes, which hosts league leader Panathinaikos this Friday, has now suffered its fifth loss in eight games.
