Bogdan Bogdanovic on Denver Nuggets' Radar to Reunite with Nikola Jokic

The Denver Nuggets are preparing major moves ahead of the NBA free agency market, and Serbian shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic has emerged as a strong target. According to Meridian Sport, the Colorado franchise would be interested in the veteran if he becomes available as an unrestricted free agent this summer.

The Los Angeles Clippers hold a team option on Bogdanovic, but it is expected they will not exercise it, which would make the player an unrestricted free agent. That situation would open the door for the Nuggets, who particularly value his chemistry with Nikola Jokic, with whom he has shared great moments representing Serbia on the international stage.

Both won silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics, competed together at the 2019 FIBA World Cup, and led Serbia to bronze at Paris 2024. That international chemistry is one of Denver's main arguments for pursuing his acquisition.

The 33-year-old Bogdanovic had a quiet season with the Clippers, averaging 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 23 games. Nevertheless, his experience, three-point shooting, and basketball IQ fit a team looking to rebuild its rotation around Jokic.

In nine NBA seasons, the Serbian wing has appeared in 561 games across the Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, and Clippers, averaging 14.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.
