Moses Wright, Ignas Brazdeikis, and Laurynas Birutis Depart Zalgiris Kaunas
Zalgiris Kaunas continues reshaping its roster ahead of the 2026/27 season, confirming the departures of three players whose contracts with the Lithuanian club have expired. Moses Wright, Laurynas Birutis, and Ignas Brazdeikis will not continue with the green-and-white project next season.
The most notable departure is that of Moses Wright, who arrived last summer and became one of the team's key players. The American center had a solid EuroLeague campaign, averaging 13.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and a 17.1 efficiency rating, establishing himself as one of the most productive big men in the competition.
Ignas Brazdeikis also ends his stint in Kaunas, having worn the Zalgiris jersey for the past two seasons. The small forward recorded 4.8 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague, while also contributing 8 points per game in the Lithuanian league.
Meanwhile, Laurynas Birutis closes a four-season cycle with the club. The Lithuanian center contributed 4.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in the top continental competition, while in the LKL he elevated his performance to 8.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
