Kosner Baskonia and Chris Duarte (Dominican Republic, 1997) have agreed to a two-year deal. The new Baskonia wing arrives in Vitoria-Gasteiz from Unicaja Málaga.
Duarte, who began his career with the Oregon Ducks in the NCAA, made the jump to the NBA with the Indiana Pacers in the 2021-22 season. Since then, the Dominican player, who has appeared in over 150 NBA games, has played for clubs including the Sacramento Kings and Chicago Bulls, before making the move to Europe last season with Unicaja Málaga, where he averaged 11.4 points and 2.9 assists in Liga Endesa and 9.5 points and 1.9 assists in the Basketball Champions League.
With the Dominican Republic national team, Chris Duarte recently recorded 29 points and 12 rebounds in his last two games against the United States and Nicaragua in the World Cup qualifying phase.
With the signing of Chris Duarte, Kosner Baskonia adds to its roster a player with athleticism, scoring ability, and power.
