David DeJulius on Real Madrid's Radar as Free Agent Target

Real Madrid continues monitoring the external market, and according to Marca, David DeJulius is one of the players who has sparked their interest. The American shooting guard, who holds a Slovak passport and qualifies as a European player in ACB competitions, just completed an impressive season with UCAM Murcia.

DeJulius, 26 years old and 1.83 meters tall, signed a 1+1 contract with the Murcia club last summer and is now fielding offers after establishing himself as one of the Liga Endesa's top scorers. He was the league's second-leading scorer, averaging 17.7 points, 1.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 16.6 efficiency rating, while shooting 37.9% from three-point range.

His performance has not gone unnoticed by several EuroLeague teams, including Real Madrid. The Madrid club suffered particularly in their last league matchup against UCAM Murcia, a game that ended in a 131-123 Madrid victory, but in which DeJulius delivered a spectacular performance: 27 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists, 11 fouls drawn and 39 efficiency rating.

The main concern is his physical condition. The player suffered a fifth metatarsal fracture in his right foot during the second game of the quarterfinal playoff series against Barcelona and will be sidelined for approximately three months, at least until September.

Regardless, his scoring ability, his European passport status, and his recent ACB experience make DeJulius one of the most attractive names on the market.
