EuroLeague: Co-Leaders Face the Test in Matchday 10

EuroLeague reaches its tenth matchday with a shared lead and a tightly packed field behind. Panathinaikos and Olympiacos sit at 7-2, with seven teams following at 6-3, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia Basket. With such a narrow gap, this matchday could significantly shake up the top of the standings, and the two co-leaders play away or against direct rivals.

Fenerbahçe-Kosner Baskonia (Wednesday, 18:45)
Baskonia opens the matchday in Istanbul with very little margin for error. The Basque side has suffered seven consecutive losses in Europe and sits last (1-8), though on Sunday they celebrated their first victory under Velimir Perasović against Manresa. The Vitoria team continues with a depleted frontcourt due to the absences of Alex Len and Tadas Sedekerskis, while negotiating signings of Zach Perrin and Jabari Parker. Fenerbahçe, coached by Šarūnas Jasikevičius (6-3), arrives after a clear loss in Madrid and is close to closing the arrival of Dwight Powell to strengthen their interior game.

Real Madrid-Panathinaikos (Wednesday, 20:45)
The marquee matchup of the round pits two of the competition's hottest teams at the Movistar Arena. Panathinaikos (7-2) lost Thursday on the road at Anadolu Efes, a defeat that left them sharing the lead with Olympiacos. Real Madrid (6-3) arrives with ten consecutive wins between EuroLeague and Liga Endesa, but severely depleted: Theo Maledon, Mikael Jantunen, Gaby Deck, and Usman Garuba remain sidelined, and Nick Smith Jr. is dealing with foot issues. To cover the paint, head coach Pedro Martínez recovers Eli Ndiaye, recalled from Joventut, and welcomes back Walter Tavares, who just became the all-time leading shot-blocker in Liga Endesa history.

Anadolu Efes-Paris Basketball (Thursday, 18:30)
Both teams arrive reinforced. Efes (4-5) upset Panathinaikos (83-68) and wants to confirm their resurgence at home, while Paris (3-6) won in Tel Aviv against Maccabi (94-99) and seeks to escape the bottom zone. It's a direct clash between teams needing wins to stay in the play-in race.

Hapoel Tel Aviv-Barcelona (Thursday, 20:30)
Barcelona (6-3) arrives in form: they beat Valencia Basket at the Palau (98-94) and on Sunday took the game at Carpena with a three-pointer from Darío Brizuela in the final minute. In Tel Aviv they won't have Olek Balcerowski, sidelined with a shoulder injury. Hapoel, coached by Georgios Bartzokas (6-3), needs to recover from their loss in Dubai, in a direct duel between two teams chasing the co-leaders.

LDLC ASVEL-Bayern Munich (Thursday, 20:00)
ASVEL, coached by Tony Parker (4-5), hosts Bayern after burying Baskonia with a three-point barrage (94-79). The Germans (2-7) arrive at their worst moment after losing by 30 points in Belgrade to Crvena Zvezda (103-73), and need to react to avoid sinking to the bottom of the table.

Armani Olimpia Milano-Valencia Basket (Thursday, 20:30)
Valencia Basket (6-3) visits one of the competition's most struggling teams. Milano, coached by Giuseppe Poeta (1-8), lost in Piraeus to Olympiacos (84-78) and has won just one game. Xavi Albert's team fell at the Palau to Barcelona, but on Sunday found their footing in Andorra with an 11-34 fourth quarter. It's a road trip that, by the records, Valencia is obligated to win if they want to stay in the upper half.

Beşiktaş-Žalgiris (Friday, 18:00)
Beşiktaş (4-5) comes off one of last round's most spectacular victories: they rallied from 13 points down in four minutes in Bologna (101-103). Žalgiris, coached by Tomas Masiulis (5-4), held off Partizan's comeback at home in Kaunas (87-80) and seeks to solidify their play-in position.

Olympiacos-Crvena Zvezda (Friday, 20:15)
The other marquee matchup of the round takes place in Piraeus. Olympiacos (7-2), co-leaders after beating Milano with Sasha Vezenkov and Shaquielle McKissic as protagonists, hosts Crvena Zvezda, coached by Ibon Navarro (6-3), who arrive after demolishing Bayern by 30 points. A Serbian victory would tie both teams in the standings.

Virtus Bologna-Dubai Basketball (Friday, 20:30)
A clash of Spanish coaches in Bologna: Àlex Mumbrú against Xavi Pascual. Virtus (4-5) wants to forget the comeback Beşiktaş pulled off at home, and Dubai (6-3) arrives after winning convincingly over Hapoel (97-83), a victory that puts them squarely in the fight for the top spots.

Partizan-Maccabi (Friday, 20:45)
Partizan, coached by Joan Peñarroya (4-5), closes the matchday at the Štark Arena against Maccabi (2-7), who continue to struggle and lost at home to Paris. The Belgrade side comes off a loss in Kaunas and need a win to avoid falling further from the play-in positions.
