EuroLeague: Real Madrid-Hapoel Tel Aviv to Be Played with Identified Spectators at Movistar Arena
MADRID. The games between Real Madrid Baloncesto and Hapoel Tel Aviv at the Movistar Arena will finally be played with spectators present, though under strict security measures and prior identification of attendees, according to journalist Pilar Casado.
The decision involves a special security protocol for one of the most sensitive series in the EuroLeague playoffs. Among the measures adopted is that the front rows will remain empty and only season ticket holders identified with ID will be allowed access. In the case of transferred season tickets, the corresponding documentation of the original holder will also be required.
Additionally, VIP boxes must also have identification of all attendees. There will be no general ticket sales and visiting fans will not be permitted.
The security plan also includes reinforced controls at entrances, limitation of fan support exclusively to sporting activities, early door opening, and a significant security deployment composed of 450 police officers, in addition to increased private security.
Real Madrid thus maintains home-court advantage and will be able to count on support from the stands, though within a scenario of maximum surveillance for a playoff series of high competitive and organizational tension.
