EuroLeague: Valencia Basket Eyes Andrej Jakimovski

VALENCIA — The EuroLeague transfer market is heating up ahead of next season, and Macedonian wing Andrej Jakimovski has appeared on Valencia Basket's radar. According to journalist Alessandro Luigi Maggi, the Spanish club is closely monitoring the situation of the player, currently with Aquila Trento.

Valencia Basket's interest in Andrej Jakimovski centers on a versatile wing profile, capable of contributing both in scoring and rebounding. Born in 2001 and standing 203 centimeters tall, the North Macedonia international developed his game in Italy before making the jump to American college basketball, where he played for Washington State University and later the University of Colorado.

Following his NCAA stint, Jakimovski returned to European basketball last summer after signing with Aquila Trento, where he is having a solid season. In the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA), he averages 9.2 points and 5 rebounds per game, while in the EuroCup his numbers rise to 10.8 points and 6.1 rebounds—figures that reflect his ability to produce consistently from the wing position.

A potential move by Andrej Jakimovski to Valencia Basket would not be a straightforward operation, as the player has one more year remaining on his contract with Aquila Trento, which would require the Valencia club to negotiate with the Italian team if it decides to advance the deal.

With planning for next season already underway, Valencia Basket's interest in the EuroLeague market confirms the club's intention to continue strengthening its roster with young, versatile profiles that can fit within its sporting project.
