Peñarol came out aggressive, with Pérez Tapia leading the offense and scoring the first five points. Armand hit a three-pointer and a free throw to tie it at 78 with 1:40 left. Armand missed his layup and Lezcano answered with a floater for 80-78. With 15 seconds remaining, Thornton tried to play one-on-one with Bettiga but came up short.
