Goran Huskić Joins Baloncesto Fuenlabrada

The Serbian center will be the reference pivot for Iñaki Martín's roster in the 2026/27 Primera FEB season

The 2.10-meter tall Serbian center arrives at Fernando Martín after missing last season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, as well as a medial meniscus injury. The injury occurred in his league debut with Monbus Obradoiro against Hestia Menorca.

At 34 years old, Huskić boasts extensive experience in Europe's top basketball leagues, particularly in the Spanish league. After several campaigns in the Liga Endesa, the center made the jump to European basketball with German side Syntainics MBC and Lithuanian club Jonavos CBet. Following his European stint, Huskić returned to Spain, joining Leyma Coruña's project, which earned promotion to the ACB that same 2023/24 season. In his Liga Endesa season, the Serbian center averaged 7.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game.

With this signing, Baloncesto Fuenlabrada secures the services of a veteran center with strong credentials if injuries and fitness remain on his side. Huskić will pair with Bilbao in the center position, ensuring interior security in the paint and on the boards—areas where the Fuenlabrada team struggled significantly last season.

A high-level signing for Fuenlabrada, but one that also raises certain questions regarding his physical condition. Recall that the player did not compete last season after suffering a serious injury, in addition to being a veteran player. The player's fitness will be one of the main unknowns throughout the summer and preseason, where we'll see him starting August 24.
