Monbus Obradoiro Preseason Roadmap Confirmed

The Santiago-based team will begin medical evaluations next week to prepare for the Liga Endesa start, with five confirmed warm-up games before the official competition begins.

Monbus Obradoiro has already mapped out its preparation schedule for the 2026/27 season. The roster will begin medical evaluations and initial training sessions starting the week of August 10.

At this Santiago launch, the team will initially count on first-team players Alonso Faure, Brandon Childress, Felipe dos Anjos, Yunio Barrueta, Alejandro Galán, Alex Barcello, Olle Lundqvist, Sergi Quintela, and Caleb Agada. International players will join the group's activities as they complete their commitments with their respective national teams. To strengthen the work during these opening days, the coaching staff will add support from several U22 team players.

On-court action will begin late in the month with the first warm-up game:

August 25 (San Roque Tournament): Matchup against Leyma Coruña at the Sara Gómez Pavilion in Vilagarcía de Arousa.
August 29 (Gijón Tournament): Game in Asturias against Asisa Joventut.
September 5-6 (Galicia Cup): Tournament held in Santiago de Compostela. Obradoiro will play the semifinal on Saturday, September 5 against Río Breogán and, if they advance, would play the final on Sunday against the winner of the matchup between Ourense Baloncesto and Leyma Coruña.
September 11-12 (EncestaRías Tournament): Semifinal scheduled for Friday, September 11 against Valencia Basket. On Saturday, September 12, the team will close its participation against Kosner Baskonia or ALBA Berlín.
September 20 (Sar Presentation): Final preseason test at the Fontes do Sar Multipurpose Arena against Unicaja Málaga.

With this last home game, the roster led by the Obradoiro coaching staff will complete its preparation before facing the official start of the Liga ACB during the last weekend of September.
