Ibon Navarro Close to Crvena Zvezda Deal

Ibon Navarro has one foot in the door at Crvena Zvezda. According to Meridian Sport, the Serbian club has reached an agreement with the coach to become their new head coach next season.

The move comes after the departure of Sasa Obradovic, who left the position after failing to get the team into the ABA League Finals. Crvena Zvezda is now seeking a new impetus to rebuild the project.

Navarro would arrive in Belgrade after four seasons at Unicaja Málaga, where he has overseen a historic period. With the Málaga side, he won seven titles: two Basketball Champions League crowns, two FIBA Intercontinental Cups, two Copa del Rey titles, and one Spanish Super Cup.

Pending official announcement, the agreement would place Ibon Navarro facing one of the most demanding challenges of his career: leading a Crvena Zvezda under maximum pressure, with a heated atmosphere and presence in the EuroLeague.
