Montero: "We're all young and ambitious, none of us had won before"
Dominican point guard Jean Montero said Wednesday, after defeating Barcelona (84-108) and winning the Liga Endesa championship in the fourth game of the finals, that the secret to Valencia Basket's success is that all its players are "young and ambitious", and "none of us had won before".

"We are a winning team, because despite the big losses we've had throughout the year, we never disconnected, we always believed in ourselves. If we're here it's because we always worked for this", said the point guard, MVP of the finals, in statements to 'DAZN'.

Montero, asked about his future amid chants of "Montero stay" from the Valencia fans, did not want to talk about it, although the club president, Juan Roig, has stated that they are "very proud" of him and "wherever he goes, he will always be welcome" in Valencia.

"Right now I'm thinking of my family. It's a very special moment, I'm at a loss for words", the point guard remarked.
