Johnny Juzang Signs with Fenerbahce to Bolster Perimeter Threat

Fenerbahce adds another offensive weapon for the 2026/27 season. The Turkish club has announced the signing of Johnny Juzang, a 25-year-old American wing standing 6'7", who arrives after completing the season with Zenit Saint Petersburg.

Juzang experienced his first taste of European basketball there and made a clear statement: scoring and shooting. In 17 VTB League games, he averaged 14 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists, with a notable 45.6% three-point shooting percentage.

Before landing in Russia, he had started the season in the NBA with the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he appeared in 21 games in a limited role. His best stretch in the league came with the Utah Jazz, particularly in the 2024/25 season, when he posted 8.9 points and 2.9 rebounds in 64 games, shooting 37.6% from beyond the arc.

The signing has a straightforward purpose: Fenerbahce is acquiring a shooter. Juzang can score coming off screens, in one-on-one situations, in catch-and-shoot scenarios, or creating his own shot. He has quick release, solid mechanics, and the ability to punish even well-defended attempts.

He doesn't arrive as a primary playmaker or pure defensive specialist. He arrives to space the floor, add points off the bench or alongside multiple ball-handlers, and give Fenerbahce a consistent perimeter threat.

After several seasons between the NBA and G League, Juzang will now face his first EuroLeague campaign, joining a project that continues to load up on talent and offensive weapons to compete for everything.
