Jusuf Nurkic has clarified the rumors linking him to Partizan Belgrade in recent times. The Bosnian center, currently in the NBA, acknowledged he would have liked to receive a proposal from the Serbian club, but insisted he never had a formal offer on the table.
During his appearance on the podcast X and O's, Nurkic spoke about the possibility of one day wearing the Balkan club's jersey and was clear in explaining that, despite the noise generated and fan interest, Partizan never contacted him, at least not directly.
"I didn't have an offer from the black-and-whites. I didn't have one, at least I don't know if I did, but I wish I had," said the Bosnian big man.
Nurkic also made a joking remark about his future: "Now I'm looking for new jobs," he commented with a laugh, fueling the conversation once again about his next steps.
The center played the season with the Utah Jazz, where he averaged 10.9 points, 10.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game, the best mark of his career in the latter category.
