jul 08 2026Khris Middleton will play for the Washington Wizards next season. According to Shams Charania, the veteran wing has agreed to a three-year, $17.6 million contract via sign-and-trade with the Dallas Mavericks.
The deal is part of a much larger trade involving up to six teams: Mavericks, Wizards, Clippers, Pistons, Bucks, and Grizzlies. The agreement also includes previously reported moves involving John Collins, Gary Harris, Taurean Prince, Isaiah Stewart, Santi Aldama, and Caris LeVert, among others.
For Washington, Middleton brings experience, shooting, and veteran presence on the perimeter. While no longer in his prime physically, he remains a well-traveled player in the league, a three-time All-Star and NBA champion with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Middleton comes off a 2025/26 season with the Dallas Mavericks, where he averaged 10.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists.
The move also carries sentimental value, as Middleton returns to Washington, where he had played in recent seasons. For the Wizards, it's a low-cost bet on a veteran who can contribute both on and off the court.
