Kutxabank Araski Secures Survival, Club Joventut Badalona Relegated

A thrilling final matchday closed out the regular season with playoff positioning and survival on the line. Kutxabank Araski secured their place and Club Joventut Badalona was relegated.

A vibrant Saturday afternoon put the finishing touch on the regular season, with survival at stake and all eyes on several courts. The relegation battle came down to Club Joventut Badalona, who did their part by defeating the already-relegated SPAR Gran Canaria, and Kutxabank Araski, who visited Ing. Ambiental CAB Estepona, already qualified for the playoffs. The team coached by Made Urieta managed to turn the game around in the third quarter to take the lead on the scoreboard, resisting the final push from César Aneas' squad. With that victory, and thanks to the head-to-head tiebreaker won over Penya, the Basque team secured their place in Spain's top women's basketball division for another season.

Innova-TSN Leganés played for the home-court advantage in the playoffs against Baxi Ferrol. Lino López's team delivered a perfect start in which they increased their lead on the scoreboard and it proved difficult for Javi Fort's squad to overcome, finishing seventh in the standings. Meanwhile, Lointek Gernika Bizkaia surprised Anna Montañana's team with their approach and settled the game in the final quarter to secure their twelfth victory of the season and close out the campaign with a win.

League leaders Casademont Zaragoza did their job against a competitive Cadí La Seu until the final buzzer. The standout player of the game was Bankolé with 20 efficiency points. On the other hand, Durán M. Ensino added their sixteenth victory of the year against Movistar Estudiantes thanks to the outstanding performance of Alicia Flórez, who proved why she is the season's breakout player.

Second-place Spar Girona left no room for Azu Muguruza's squad. A strong start from the team coached by Roberto Íñiguez, orchestrated by a stellar Klara Holm, left IDK Euskotren without options, finishing in twelfth place. Meanwhile, Hozono Global Jairis added their nineteenth home victory against Valencia Basket and secured fourth place in front of their fans in a great performance by Morgan Bertsch.
