Liga Endesa Matchday 4: Real Madrid Stands Alone Unbeaten

Real Madrid is the Liga Endesa's sole leader. Three teams started matchday 4 undefeated, but only Real Madrid maintained their perfect record. Kosner Baskonia squandered a six-point fourth-quarter lead in Tenerife, and Río Breogán, who led 17-31 after the first quarter in Andorra, lost to the league's former basement dweller. Kids&Us Manresa remains winless and sits alone at the bottom of the table.

Madrid, without rivals

Real Madrid settled their game in the first quarter. A 36-13 start against Surne Bilbao put the matchup out of reach, and the whites built a 41-point lead, never trailing (119-84). Sergio Llull scored 19 points in just 12 minutes with 5 three-pointers, and Facundo Campazzo dished out 14 assists in an afternoon where Madrid hit 20 three-pointers and recorded 30 assists.

Tenerife ends Baskonia's perfect run

Baskonia, under Velimir Perasovic and without Kobi Simmons and Chris Duarte, entered the fourth quarter trailing 54-60 at Santiago Martín, but La Laguna Tenerife mounted a comeback with a 28-17 run (82-77). Kyle Guy led the Canary Islands rally with 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. For the Vitoria side, who had suffered five straight EuroLeague losses, this is their first domestic league setback.

Andorra gets first win against Breogán

MoraBanc Andorra, last place and winless, upset Río Breogán under Luis Casimiro (108-102). The Lugo team dominated the first quarter (17-31), but Andorra stormed back with a 65-point second half. Kyle Kuric scored 26 and Aaron Best made all five of his three-point attempts. Francis Alonso, the previous matchday's MVP, couldn't do enough with his 24 points and perfect 11-of-11 free-throw shooting.

Badalona derby goes to Joventut

Asisa Joventut put on a complete performance against Barcelona, who arrived battered after an overtime loss to Olympiacos (113-89). After a strong first quarter by the blaugrana, the green-and-blacks took control with nearly flawless offense: 62% from the field, 17 three-pointers, and 28 assists. Ricky Rubio (19 points) and Nicolás Laprovittola (17 points, 8 assists) orchestrated the victory, with Tyrese Martin (21) the only bright spot for Barcelona.
