Nico Laprovittola Returns to ASISA Joventut

The Argentine shooting guard reunites with the Catalan club, signing a three-year deal with the team where he made his mark

ASISA Joventut Badalona has reached an agreement with Nico Laprovittola for the Argentine shooting guard to return to wearing the green-and-black jersey and join the first team for the next three seasons.

Nico Laprovittola (31/01/1990, Morón, Argentina) is a 1.90m shooting guard who needs little introduction. Considered one of the most impactful players in European basketball, the Argentine stands out for his playmaking ability, his court vision, and his talent for creating advantages both in set plays and in transition. His reading of the pick-and-roll, his scoring ability, and his leadership on the court make him a game-changing player, capable of elevating his teammates' performance and taking responsibility in crucial moments.

His competitive spirit and connection with the fans made his first stint in Badalona one of the most memorable in the Club's recent history (2017-2019, with 55 official games). In his first year, he was key to saving the team when the situation was critical. And in the 2018-19 season, he delivered a campaign that will forever be etched in the memory of the Penya. That year, Laprovittola led the team on the court and capped an extraordinary season with recognition as Liga Endesa MVP (17.1 points, 6.4 assists, and 17.7 rating).

The paths of the Club and the player diverged, but the bond never broke. Today, years later (having passed through Real Madrid and Barcelona), this story writes a new chapter. Nico Laprovittola returns to the Olímpic. He returns to Badalona. He returns to ASISA Joventut.
