Trendon Watford's future is starting to attract attention in the EuroLeague. Olympiacos and Baskonia have joined the teams monitoring the American power forward's situation, according to Matteo Andreani, though the player's priority remains finding an opportunity in the NBA.
Watford, 25 years old and 2.03 meters tall, became available after the Philadelphia 76ers decided not to exercise their team option for the 2026/27 season.
The big man played 53 games for Philadelphia last season, seven of them as a starter, averaging 6.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 16.3 minutes, shooting 51.5% from the field.
His name had previously been linked with Valencia Basket, though the player himself denied there was an agreement with the Spanish club. Now Olympiacos and Baskonia have joined the list of European clubs monitoring his situation.
For now, however, Watford does not appear willing to close the door on continuing in the United States. The NBA remains his first option, so European clubs will have to wait to see if the player finds an offer that allows him to continue a career in the American league that began in 2021.
