jun 02 2026Panathinaikos is eyeing a major splash in the European market. According to Meridian Sport, the Athens club has presented Zeljko Obradovic with a two-year offer worth a total of €10 million.
It would be an unprecedented proposal for a EuroLeague head coach and reflects Panathinaikos' intention to go all-in on bringing back the most important coach in their recent history.
Obradovic led the Greek club during a golden era, and his possible return would be one of the biggest moves in recent years in European basketball.
For now, however, there would be no official negotiations. According to the same report, Panathinaikos will wait until the end of the Greek league season out of respect for Ergin Ataman, the team's current head coach.
