Dubai Basketball responded to their loss against Paris with one of their most solid victories of the season. Xavi Pascual's team clearly defeated Hapoel Tel Aviv, who arrived in form after scoring 118 points against Efes, and now level them in the standings at 6-3. The game was marked by Tomáš Satoranský's injury, who had to leave the court on a stretcher.
Hapoel Starts Strong
Dimitris Itoudis' team took the first quarter (19-22), but Dubai turned it around in the second with a 26-18 run and went into halftime ahead (45-40). Filip Petrušev began to assert himself in the paint.
Third Quarter Breaks the Game Open
After halftime, Dubai tightened their defense and won the third quarter 29-20, reaching the final period up 14 (74-60). At the end of that quarter came the toughest moment of the night: Satoranský jumped for an offensive rebound, collided in the air with Dwayne Bacon and Petrušev, and fell backward onto the court. Medical staff from both teams attended to him for several minutes before removing him on a stretcher. Itoudis later reassured everyone by explaining that he was conscious and had "full control" of his body.
