Patty Mills could continue his EuroLeague career. According to reports from Telesport in Serbia, the Australian point guard is close to signing with ASVEL Villeurbanne after his stint with La Laguna Tenerife comes to an end.
Mills played the 2025/26 season with the black-and-gold squad, where he made a strong impression during his time in the Liga Endesa. In the ACB, he averaged 18 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists, with an outstanding 48% from three-point range and 90% from the free throw line. In total, Tenerife highlighted that he scored 16.7 points across 23 official games.
The move would have a special component due to Tony Parker, the current head coach of the French club. Mills and Parker shared a locker room for several seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, where the Australian was an important rotation piece during one of the most recognizable eras of the Texas franchise.
For ASVEL, Mills' possible arrival would mean adding experience, leadership and three-point shooting to a project that is ambitiously reshaping its roster. The French club has already made aggressive moves in the market and is looking to elevate its competitive level in the EuroLeague.
Mills, an NBA champion in 2014 and one of the great historical figures of Australian basketball, would bring immediate hierarchy to the backcourt. Pending official confirmation, his name is increasingly linked to Tony Parker's new ASVEL project.
