Quimsa Advances to Final with 94-83 Road Victory Over Boca

Quimsa defeated Boca 94-83 on the road, eliminating the hosts from contention for a third consecutive championship. Head coach Lucas Victoriano's squad dominated from start to finish, never allowing their opponent a chance to mount a comeback. Brandon Robinson led the scoring once again. Quimsa awaits the winner of the decisive matchup between Gimnasia de Comodoro Rivadavia and Ferrocarril Oeste.

The visiting team capitalized on Boca's aggressive approach to start the game. Quimsa jumped out to a 7-0 lead thanks to Lema and Robinson. After three minutes of play, Smith scored Boca's first points. Midway through the quarter, Quimsa controlled the pace at 13-9. The entry of Orresta provided more confidence with two three-pointers, combined with Robinson's scoring, pushing the lead to 24-11 with 1:30 remaining in the period.

Casalanguida sent Cuello onto the court, sparking a reaction that woke up Boca; a two-pointer with a foul and a three-pointer brought the home team back into the game at 25-22. But the visitors ended their scoring drought with a three-pointer from Solanas and a dunk from Freeman, closing at 72-64.

Boca's urgency to secure the victory was evident. They tried to engage in a back-and-forth battle at 75-69 in their favor. Quimsa capitalized on the home team's nerves and complicated matters with fouls. Langston fouled out, while Barreiro and Caffaro reached four fouls before the midpoint of the period. The visitors entered the final five minutes with a 12-point lead: 85-73.

With five straight points from Smith, Boca regained momentum and composure to try to reverse the scoreline. They entered the final three minutes at 89-79, with Quimsa looking uncomfortable. Victoriano's strategy was to play long possessions. Boca was disorganized on offense and wasted the visitors' lack of efficiency to cut into the lead. On defense, they failed to foul to stop the clock. With two free throws from Leonardo Lema, Quimsa sealed the 94-83 victory and advanced to the Argentine National League Final.
