Three matchdays, three unbeaten teams. That two of them are Kosner Baskonia and Real Madrid is expected. That the third is Río Breogán is the big story of the Liga Endesa start: the Lugo-based team had never won their first three games in sixty years of history, and they celebrated it during San Froilán festivities with a 115-92 victory over FIATC Girona.
Francis Alonso and the Pazo
Luis Casimiro's Breogán delivered the offensive showcase of the matchday: 61 points at halftime, just six short of the competition record for a first half. Leading the way was Francis Alonso, with 27 points and a rating of 30 in just 21 minutes, one of the standout performances of the weekend. Tevin Brown added 20 points. It was Alonso himself who took the team to the hundred-point mark with a basket and free throw.
Baskonia and Madrid, Unruffled
Kosner Baskonia leads the standings by point differential after a 93-73 victory over Asisa Joventut. The most striking aspect was the change from one game to the next: three days after losing to Besiktas with just three three-pointers, Paolo Galbiati's team made 16 of 33. Chris Duarte and Rodions Kurucs finished with 22 rating each, and a run in the final five minutes broke open a game that Joventut had kept competitive.
Real Madrid had the most comfortable afternoon of all: 120-83 over Kids&Us Manresa, the basement dweller and only winless team in the league. Pedro Martínez's team spread the wealth, with nine players above a 10 rating and Olivier Sarr as the leading scorer (16). The victory was overshadowed by concerns over Gabriel Deck: his coach acknowledged that the Argentine's shoulder injury "is more serious" than initially thought.

The Palau, Down to the Final Second
The game of the matchday was played Sunday night at the Palau. Barcelona arrived leading Valencia Basket by eleven, but Xavi Albert's team clawed back almost everything in the final quarter. A block by Tosan Evbuomwan and a three-pointer by Joel Parra kept Aleksander Sekulic's side alive, and Nikola Mirotic's final three-pointer didn't fall: 89-86. TJ Shorts, with 19 points and a 22 rating, was Valencia's best player, leaving them with one win and two losses.
Another tight finish came in Santiago. Monbus Obradoiro won 91-89 over iLERNA Lleida despite making just 5 of 29 three-pointers. Joel Soriano held it together in the paint, with 22 points and a 25 rating in 22 minutes, and they weathered a final quarter in which Lleida, with 23 points from Dimitri McGhee, got within two. In Bilbao, Surne Bilbao and Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos were tied at 85 with three minutes remaining, and an 11-2 run decided the game for the home team (96-87).
First Wins and Rewarding Road Trips
Txus Vidorreta's Unicaja got on the board on their third try against MoraBanc Andorra (92-84), though they let a big lead slip away twice. Ignas Brazdeikis, with 19 points and a 27 rating, was their best player.
There were also impressive road performances. La Laguna Tenerife won 77-90 in Murcia without Giorgi Shermadini or TJ Bamba, with Marcelinho Huertas, at 43 years old, posting 19 points and a 24 rating. And Casademont Zaragoza dominated at the Coliseum (71-92) with a 15-of-22 performance from three-point range, eight of nine in the first half, and a 23 rating for Birutis.
