jul 03 2026Sergio de Larrea is now a Dallas Mavericks player. The Spanish point guard makes the leap to the NBA after a historic season with Valencia Basket, where he competed in the Liga Endesa and EuroLeague before being selected in the Draft.
De Larrea was selected in the first round by the New York Knicks and subsequently traded to Dallas, a franchise that has committed to incorporating him into their project immediately. Additionally, the Spanish point guard will play in the Summer League with the Mavericks as his first taste of the NBA environment.
In the 2025/26 season with Valencia Basket, De Larrea averaged 9.1 points, 3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in the Liga Endesa, with a notable 37.8% from three-point range and 81.8% from the free throw line. In the EuroLeague, his numbers were 3.9 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, with an impressive 40.9% from beyond the arc.
