Trey Lyles Returns to NBA with Minnesota Timberwolves

Trey Lyles will return to the NBA after his stint with Real Madrid. According to Michael Scotto, the Canadian power forward has reached a one-year agreement with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The move brings Lyles back to a league where he already has extensive experience. Before playing in Europe, he spent time with the Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, Detroit Pistons, and Sacramento Kings, posting career NBA averages of 7.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Lyles had recently completed his stint with Real Madrid, where the club publicly thanked him for his professionalism, dedication, and teamwork during the season. His departure opened the door to a new destination, and ultimately the player opted to return to the American market.

For Minnesota, his signing represents adding an experienced stretch big with size and the ability to provide rotation minutes. He doesn't arrive as a primary piece, but rather as a useful profile to add depth to a roster looking to continue competing in the Western Conference.
